Tajingdong: Tajingdong also known as “Bijoy” is the highest mountain of Bangladesh. Tajingdong is about 4300 ft (1310 meters) high from the sea level. For travelling people have to hire a special vehicle which is called ‘chander gari’.This name is given by the local preple.It is actually four wheel drive vehicle. But land cruser,landrover,bus are also safe. Among these vehicles, travelling in chander gari is more thrilling. This car is suitable for climbing the hill. Inside the town, the most available transport is rickshaw.

Cruise on River Sangu: One highly recommended activity here is a boat trip in a sampan a double oared boat with a regular boat down the river sangu. The trip can be a 1-hour trip, or a whole day cruise including stop-overs to have food. you will see people working on river with bamboos. the river is not very deep in the dry season. many times your boat might get stuck with the soil under the river.

You have two options to make trip on River Sangu- Take the early bus from Ruma bus stand, Bandarban to Ruma Bazar from 07:00 am. It will cost tk 100 and take three hours. From Ruma Bazar you can hire a boat to Bandarban for Tk. 4000 negotiated to Tk. 3000, 3-4 hours. Notice, the last bus that to Bandarban from Ruma Bazar is at 15:30. In case you not succeed to hire a boat, you must have to get the bus.

Hiking: A hike to either Keokaradong 883 meters or Tahjindong 967 meters, the two tallest peak is an ecstatic experience. On the side of both the peaks reside the remotest tribes-people of Bangladesh, the Khumi and the Kuki. Boga Lake, one of the two highest lakes in Bangladesh lie directly on the trek, and the second one is Raikhiang Lake lies only a little off the way.

How to Travel From Dhaka: There are many transports to travel from Dhaka to Bandarban such as bus,train or by air. Buses which go directly from Dhaka to Bandarban are Shyamoli paribahan,S.Alam paribahan,Dolphin services etc.Some transportss leave Dhaka from Fakirapool in every night.It takes about 7 hours to arrive.The bus services are both AC and non AC. For non AC bus the fare is around 550/-BDT.If traveler wishes to go by AC bus he might to go to Chittagong first from Dhaka.The AC bus services are Greenline paribahan,Shohagh paribahan,Silkline etc.To buy tickets in advance is better in the tourist season.

To travel by train tourists have to go to Chittagong from Dhaka.The train services which leaves from kamalapur railway station are Turna,Nishitha,Mahanagar,Godhuli and Subarna express.If anyone wants to travel by air he should take a flight tourist. Biman Bangladesh Airlines,GMG Airlines,Best Air or United Airways are those services by which people may go to Chittagong.

After the arrival in Chittagong there are available buses in Bahaddarhat terminal which lives for Bandarban.Purbani,Pubali or Purobi bus departs from Chittagong from morning untill evening and takes 2-3 hours to arrive Bandarban.
